Rakana Counselling Services provides client led counselling which means your needs are at the centre of our sessions which are tailor made and as unique as you are.

Most of us at some point in our lives experience difficulties and problems that affect how we feel and our ability to function day by day.

During these times it may be hard to speak to family and friends about these worries and so there is a need to speak with someone who will listen and understand and accept us as we are.

Most recently Covid 19 has also created challenges for us.  For example, through loss of a loved one where it was impossible to say goodbye or the anxieties over self isolation and social distancing.

Counselling provides a safe, confidential and non judgemental environment to talk about your life and things that may be worrying, confusing, painful or uncomfortable to live with.  It allows you to talk with an experienced professional who is trained to listen attentively and help you improve things and move forward.

Sessions

Sessions are available remotely, by telephone or in person and last for 50 minutes.

Counselling usually takes place weekly or fortnightly to ensure continuity of the therapeutic relationship.

The number of sessions required is different for everyone and will depend on the nature of the issues and what you are wanting to achieve with counselling.

Fees

Each session costs £45.  Payment is accepted in cash or by bank transfer.

In common with most professional services we operate a strict cancellations policy requiring all clients to give us a minimum of one business day (24 hours) notice of any cancelled session.  The full fee is payable where adequate notice is not given.
